eHarmony.com —
I joined eharmony just after my 18th bday (joined meaning taking their horribly long tests) because the commercials about it make it seem SO great. "Get your FREE personality profile!" However, what they fail to mention in their ads is the (in my opinion) outrageous monthly price. Eharmony tempts you to pay by allowing you to see your matches' profiles but only allows contact after you sign up to pay for it. I refused to do this but still receive more-than-regular emails telling me a new match. I was also angry that eharmony is anti-gay. The next day, I found a new more useful, and in my opinion better designed, site "Okcupid.com". Same concept as eharmony but it's free, it doesn't MAKE you take the test, not anti-gay, and every question is user-submitted. What I say is if you want a dating (short or long-term, just friends or intimate encounter) site based on compatibility, don't shell out your money to eharmony. there are better, free websites out there like okcupid.
