Pros

great for people that keep odd hours, great place to find hard to find items, great for people in rural areas

Cons

can be confusing, fraud could occur, cost to much to sell, eBay does not protect its members, seller beware, buyer beware, scam artists, Too many to list, ever increasing seller fees, outrageous shipping, fees are obnoxious, feedback system bad for sellers, buyers fail to read entire listing, flawed feedback system

I have been a member of ebay for many years - buying and selling. I do enjoy finding merchandise that I can not find anywhere else, and I like to sell things that I no longer need. BUT, ebay fees are too high!!! Ebay and the professional sellers are the only ones making any money. There are some sellers charging outrageous shipping fees to compensate for the high ebay fees which is WRONG. I am not sure what ebay needs to do, but they definitely need to do something. I am sure that they have become top heavy with corporate positions and overhead. Ebay sales are down, and they are scratching their heads wondering why. They think it is the loss of buyers which is true, but it has been caused by their own greed which has resulted in lack of sales. They cater to the buyer which has caused many of the problems. For one thing, they need to stop the foolish contests and concentrate on the real issues. Poll all users to get their input! I have started researching other means to buy and sell.
