e-rewards Review Summary

e-rewards is a pay for survey site that is getting very mixed reviews. Like ThisSiteIsForReal.com, members either are having a great experience or a very poor one. This site pays in rewards rather than cash and most rewards are discounts off of products which some reviewers feel is a bait and switch tactic to get them to spend money to get the rewards they worked for. Other members enjoy the emails and surveys and use their rewards for gifts and other things. Proceed with caution on e-rewards and join only of you're satisfied with rewards rather than cold hard cash. Looking for some paid websites to get involved n? Read our reviews of the best and worst!

The good things about e-rewards are that they don't send too many e-mails, it's easy to earn a lot of points, and their rewards are handled quickly.  The bad thing is that the dollar values of the rewards are way too high compared to the actual value of the reward and they don't let you use the same... review »

Taking surveys for rewards is a habit I started many years ago. Back then, there was no internet and surveys were sent via regular mail. The process was time consuming, but it worked and you usually received cash money for your efforts. Today, there is a virtually endless sea of survey sites on the internet,...

E-rewards gives credit for surveys, in their own currency.  It is displayed in dollars, but this is deceptive as most of the rewards are worth about half of the dollar value.

That being said, it's still worthwhile.  One survey I took, which took me about half an hour, earned me $50.  Most take a few minutes, after which you're told you don't qualify and you are given somewhere between $0.50 and $2.00 in credit.  They always let you know up front what you'll be earning, both if you qualify and if you don't.

Still, it's a minimal time investment, and there are some good merchants available (though...

E-Rewards talks about consumer friendly they are but
  • For no reason E-Rewards will stop sending you surveys preventing you from earning a reward.
  • E-Rewards will often give you a canned or no response to customer service requests.
  • E-Rewards frequently will fail to credit you with survey and when you e-mail them they ask for information from survey you did not keep.
  • Sometimes E-Rewards will have surveys which break and you get no credit.
  • E-Rewards will frequently change terms on rewards.
Might be worth trying in short term but not worth staying with it.

I joined E-rewards many years ago and I continue to do the surveys because of ease and simplicity.  I receive quite a few invitations within a week and it is easy to add money to your account.  I have not had any problems with my currency being immediately credited to my account.

In the last three months I was able to redeem for discount coupons for flowers and gifts, but therein lies my only con.  With e-rewards most, if not all, of the rewards are in the form of a discount.  You purchase so much at a participating site and recieve so much off of your order.  The reward is treated as a discount...

E-Rewards appears a first glace to be legit - you get points for answering surveys and when you get enough you can redeem them for prizes.   However E-Rewards has issues and whenever you appear to point out issues (non-crediting of surveys, survey companies asking tens and sometimes more than 50 questions before disqualifying you, prizes never appearing) they keep asking for proof.  When you learn the routine then they start with answers like "You did not spend enough time on survey" and eventually customer service does not reply to e-mails and messages.

If you join consider them a hostile witness...

e-rewards program is a decent deal to sign up with.

The surveys do not take a long time to do. They always take me less than the estimated time.

The rewards are a ok, there could be more of a selection. Some of the rewards are a bit pricey if you find out what they would actually cost in real dollars. The blackout date after which points cannot be redeemed is a long period so I don't have a problem with that.

I feel I respond to the surveys quickly but have often encountered surveys that have already met their quota.

I have only redeemed my points once but did not incur and problems with receiving...

When I came across e-rewards I thought it was really grate and could not wait to start earning reward... I love doing survey... Anyways I cashed in my point and waited for my gift card that never came it had been over 10 weeks so I  emailed with my complaint  to the email on the web site 4 times and still no response.  So at this point  I went to the BBB website and found a  different email. I emailed them last week asking for them to look into it and  they said they would I sent another email  at the end of last week and still no response. Stay away from this company.

I signed up to Erewards through Upromise and i have to say it is the best way so far for me to rack up those earnings for my kids college. It doesn't accumilate fast in my Upromise account, but it accumilates a lot faster than it did before I signed up to Erewards through Upromise. This makes me very happy. You see I don't shop at Kroger much and I don't shop online through Upromise so Erewards is my best bet. The surveys are easy and simple to follow and they only take a few minutes to complete or to find out if you qualify for the reard.

The lure of rewards during tough economic times was appealing, however, I've been a member of e-rewards for several months and have only "qualified" for a couple of surveys.  The company has my demographic data so are they intentionally sending me surveys for which I won't qualify or is this a sham?  I've contacted the company more than once with my concerns but have never received a reply so I'm leaning toward the company being a sham.
