Terrible test, not reliable

1

This test was very inaccurate and thank God we went to the doctor before we believed the results. Every other test said we were pregnant besides this one. Imagine if we weren't smart enough to ignore the results, most likely would have lost a Child. I advise anyone trying to use first response or clear blue. My long story short 6 postives combined from clear blue and first response, 3 negatives from ept. Doctor took two blood test and we are happily having a baby. Think smart

E.p.t. Home Pregnancy test

As a mother of three you can bet I've tried a lot of home pregnancy tests overs many years. I was always leery of picking the right test. I figured they were all more or less the same and the only difference would be the price, this is really not true. The cheaper brands barely show any change when you activate them with urine, can be scary and frustrating when you need to know. I tried the ept brand, even though it costs much more, and was instantly satisfied. There is really nothing different in the actual styling of these tests, they are all sticks, but this brand just works so much faster. I myself don't like the idea of peeing on a stick, so I would use a cup and put the stick in it, and it always worked the same. This brand would be my first choice, I'd rather pay more for accurate results, then get my hopes up with another brand on,y to be left unsure.

Early, early results!

I have taken many pregnancy tests throughout the years, and will never trust another over the EPT pregnancy test (with pink on the box). This test gives result sooner than any other test I have tried before. For both of my pregnancies, I received results days before my missed period, and they were accurate. What's even better is that you can get a box with three tests for a reasonable price, and test as soon as possible (I think the first day they say is 5 days prior to your missed period), and then a fews days after two more times! In my experience, even if there is a very faint double pink line, you are pregnant (with this test), as it is very sensitive and picks up on the slighest hormone indicator. Great product. Will definitely use again!

ept +/- is a standard test

I recently believed I was pregnant and went out and bought 3 different brands of pregnancy tests to be sure of the results. I started with the ept +/- test, and the positive line came out so faint that I wasn't really sure if I was really pregnant or not. The box does say that the positive line can be lighter than the other one, but this was really faint that I moved on to another brand. I just feel that the digital tests are so much easier to read than the old +/- tests out there. Seeing "Pregnant" on the stick instead of a maybe +, really eases the confusion. I have officially moved on to the digital tests, because I went through about 6 regular tests before that and it made me crazy not being able to truly 100% believe what I was reading. The digital tests are more expensive, but for what you are trying to determine I think it is really worth it. I don't think I'll buy another +/- test again seeing that the digital test is so much easier to read.

e.p.t. works, but doesn't "last"?

I've taken literally dozens of pregnancy tests over the years  (expecting baby #5 right now)  and have tried just about every brand out there.   They all work well, but this time, I was looking for something that would give a positive result sooner.  Since this is kind of e.p.t.'s clam to fame, I went for it.  I tried the earliest possible day of my cycle, day 24.  At first there was nothing, but within a minute, I could unarguably see a faint, blue plus sign.  Unfortunately, within in hour or so, that faint extra line completely disappeared, making me doubt what I had been so sure of before.  The next day, I took another test, got the same blue line, and got the same disappearing act.  Call me sentimental, but when I get a positive pregnancy test, I want to keep it for a keepsake.  Having a test that says "no, you're not pregnant", isn't exactly something I want to go stick in a box.  In order to have a test worth keeping, I actually had to go buy another brand of early pregnancy test that would allow the positive result to stay.  So, the bottom line is, if you want an early result, e.p.t. is definitely a great brand to pick.  But if you're into keeping it afterrwards, you may want to go with something else instead.

Not worth the money

I bought this test because I had a coupon for it.  It was the cheapest one I could find on the shelf.  It was suppose to give results early and quickly, so I decided to try it. I had a hard time with reading this test.  I got a very, very faint line.  I didn't appear to be a pregnancy test line, but it was there nonetheless.  After reading online, I learned that this test  is a blue dye test.  Blue dye tests can give false positive pregnancy test readings with something called an "evaporation line".  It can be hard to tell whether this line is just the test being unclear or an actual positive pregnancy.  I read a lot of places online that suggested using digital tests or even tests with pink. I've switched to the more obvious pregnancy tests that say that you are either "pregnant" or "not pregnant".  Those are easier to read and there isn't a chance of misreading the test.  These type are a little pricier, but knowing for sure and not having to guess is really worth the money!

I used this product when i missed one day of my period I followed the Instructions to a t and it still came up negative so i waited a few more days I got up in the morning I took out a new pregnancy test and followed the instructions to a t again It still came up negative and i was 4 days late.......So i knew something wasnt right so a few days later no period yet i took out a new pregnancy test yet again and took the test and One line showed up and a very very faint other line showed up leaving me confused on weather or not i was pregnant......................so yet again i bought and took another pregnancy test and took it and it finally came up positive .....I dont really advise getting this pregnant test brand if you are impatient like myself and want to know weather or not your pregnant in a hurry and if you do get this brand pregnancy test i would wait at least a week after your missed period.

Didn't work...

I had a sneaking suspicion that I was pregnant, but since at the time I had skipped multiple periods, I knew it could go either way.  When I was (what turned out to be) 4 weeks past the day of conception (2 weeks after what would have been a missed period) I used one of these tests and it came out a very clear negative.  A week later and I was experiencing a lot of the early pregnancy symptoms I'd experienced before, so I took another E.P.T. test, and the test showed up with a very clear horizontal line and then these bizzare dots showed up all over the test, in a slightly higher concentration along what would have formed the vertical line of the plus sign, but it definitely didn't look at all like a + .  At this point, I went out and bought a 1st response test and within 30 seconds, a big fat positive showed up.  Since I had been trying to get pregnant anyway, I had been going about life using all the precautions I would have if I had a confirmed pregnancy test so I was wondering which tests were correct.  A week later, I bought another box of E.P.T. and used the second test from my 1st response test, took them at the same time and got ANOTHER negative from E.P.T. and another BFP from the 1st response.  Blood test confirmed I was in fact pregnant, and at 10 weeks, I used the remaining E.P.T. test to see if it would ever show a positive, and I got the same negative with bizarre faint spotting all over the test field.

I was 2 weeks late of my period, i thought im just late..but i never was late with my period i wasnt worried at all im kinda in the sense of denial that i was pregnant since i am on the pills..but my husband knew by then that i am pregnant he was the one that is worried to death :) by then he went to the pharmacy and got me an EPT to stop the weariness and such and to finally have an answer to what is the bothering with us.. he scroll the aisle and look for what would be the best test to used the pharmacist insisted to used such product.. and oh boy! in 10 minutes we finally see the result and it was positive ^_^ we couldnt be any happier with the result and to know that i was pregnant that early. im truly satisfied with the product and surely recommend it to my friends, i know theres a lot of pregnancy test out there digital and etc. but ept for me is the one that works fine and it doesnt cost so much. i still have the result it faded a lil bit but u can see still the blue line, and its easy to read with 99 percent accuracy you cant go wrong with it.

You can count on EPT

The pregnancy test of choice for sure for me is EPT.  The last thing you want is for a test to say you are not pregnant when you are.  I have on one occasion bought a store brand pregnancy test and it said that I was not pregnant.  It was not expired or damaged or anything.  I just couldn't believe it, so I went to the store and bought one that was EPT a name brand just to check.  Sure enough, it was positive.  That is the last time I bought a store brand pregnancy test.  The results change your life so no, I do not suggest using any other brand than EPT.  I am blessed with four children now and due to my first experience I used EPT each time, a day late and it was confirmed each time as positive.  I have never had a false positive.  Just that one time with a false negative.  I think with something this important you have to use something that you know will give the correct results when you need them.
