I was in the market for a new concealer and decided to try e.l.f. because I have never used their products before. They get pretty decent reviews and the price couldn't be beat, so I picked up the e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer on the e.l.f. website.
e.l.f. says: "Cover-up those unwanted blemishes, circles and spots! Multi-tonal silicon treatment masks skin tone imperfections and redness, leaving skin with a healthy glow."
When you first unscrew the Tone Correcting Concealer, it smells like a sweet, fruity piece of candy. e.l.f. calls this scent "Sugar Orange". Since it smelled so good, I was really looking forward to using it. I put it under my eyes on my dark circles and covered my blemishes. Under the eyes, it worked just okay. It was very easy to apply and easy to rub, but it was nothing spectacular. When I put it on my blemishes, it didn't really do anything at all. There is so much oil in this product that the texture of it doesn't work well on blemishes. It seemed like the concealer was too sheer, it didn't cover my blemishes at all.
The e.l.f. Tone Correcting Concealer comes in a really small tube with a sponge-tip applicator. It kind of looks like a travel-size concealer, but this is their regular size.
The Scoop!
Although this product was decent under my eyes, it was not good at covering my blemishes at all. It is inexpensive and smells great, but that's about it. I would not buy this product again. One thing I like is that there is no animal testing.
