Cons
very deep brown, may be too deep for fair skin, need to try it a few times to get it, can be a tad messy

Quick View: This bronzing powder is very deep but, when used correctly, really looks natural. No shimmer and no orange! You get a lot of all natural mineral powder for the money and can use it on the body as well as the face. It isn't THE perfect bronzer but I like it!

About e.l.f. Bronzed Mineral Glow

This all natural mineral bronzer comes in a large (palm sized) tub with a screw off top. The inner lid has little holes for the loose powder to filter through. It is only eight bucks for .35 ounce of product and it is completely natural with no parabens, no preservatives, and no chemical dyes.

I have been searching for a non-shimmery bronzer to give me a little color all summer long. I ordered e.l.f. Bronzed Mineral Glow with absolutely no expectations. It was inexpensive and I was curious as to how it would work.

When I first got the bronzer, I was shocked at how very dark the powder was. It is BROWN. Very brown. Not tan or (thankfully) orange. I almost didn't even bother trying it. However, I just had to play with it. I have a kabuki brush and I tapped a bit of the powder into the cap. I knew I didn't need much. After I swirled my brush into the powder, I tapped off as much as I could and swept it across my bare face.

Hmm ... no shimmer, no glitter ball effect, no orange, and a nice tan look that shocked me. There is SO much powder in the container that I could never use it all on my face so I experimented with it on my body. Using the kabuki brush, I applied the bronzer to my chest. It looked really good and very natural. I got out one of my powder puffs and swept up a little of the minerals and brushed my shoulders and arms. Oh! A tan without the sun and without self tanner!

This powder stays on fine and doesn't streak once you get used to using it. If you try to apply a full brush of it on your face, prepare to look like Al Jolson. You need the smallest amount and to just gently sweep the minerals where the sun would naturally hit. Less is more and you may have to apply this a few times to get it right but, once you know how much you need, you'll be all set.

I use e.l.f. Bronzed Mineral Glow after I apply my foundation and sometimes as a finishing powder depending on the look I want. I now have a little tan from being ordered to sit outside for 30 minutes in the sun daily (Vitamin D deficiency) and this bronzer works even better on my darker skin. I use it on my bare face on my cheeks, bridge of my nose, forehead and chin. Just a TINY BIT, mind you. I brush a bit on my neck, chest, and shoulders as well. I look very naturally tan with no caking and no powder settling into fine lines.

I would prefer that this powder be lighter so that I didn't have to be oh so careful about applying. The color on www.eyeslipsface.com shows it as a nice tan shade but it's much darker than that. If you're very fair skinned, I don't think this is the bronzer for you. You may not be able to get the color sheer enough to look natural.

My Viewpoint

I like that this bronzing powder is all natural and that I get so much for such a low cost. I like how concentrated it is and how it doesn't have all that fake looking shimmer in it. It's very deep though and I have to be extra careful to apply just a touch so that I look glowing and tan, not dirty. This powder doesn't streak if applied right and lasts for a long time on my face and body. I have used it as eye shadow and even have dipped my clear lip gloss wand into the powder and used it as lip gloss. You can play around with minerals without too much worry of irritation or reactions.

Although e.l.f. Bronzed Mineral Glow is very deep, it's quite a good bronzer and certainly well worth the eight dollars it cost. There is so much product that it will last for a couple of years with normal use. Using it on my body works well as long as I'm not going to get wet. I like it! 4 stars. USE SPARINGLY!

You can buy some of their mineral line at drugstore.com. On their site for the next day, all mineral products are half off with the code blowout. They're REALLY busy and it make take a little while to get the order because of the promotion but I stocked up. I mean...$1.50 for mineral eye shadows? And $2.50 for blush and foundation? I couldn't resist stocking up now when everything is half priced.

I've heard a lot of good things about e.l.f. products, but I haven't tried anything yet. I don't need a bronzer but I think I'll try out some of their other products. :)

It's on sale today and tomorrow for half price with the code word blowout. They have a full line of mineral makeup all of which is cheaper than anyone else's and very very good!

All e.l.f. mineral products and brushes are half price today (and maybe for a few days) with the code blowout. You can stock up for even less. I just did. I have their concealer and it is good. Lots of their mineral products are really good for cheap prices!

All elf mineral products are half priced today with the code blowout. I actually think they will be half price for a few days. I just bought some stuff because their mineral make up is actually very good and inexpensive (less so when it's half off!)

SOunds great, especially here in Houston where my skin shows practically year round on one way shape or form. It would be nice ot have color all over.

I used e.l.f.' s other bronzer but haven't tried their mineral bronzer. I absolutely love their mineral concealer. I mix it with my face powder it really "wows" me. I love it. Great review!
