Quick View: e.l.f. (eyeslipsface.com) is known for its $1.00 makeup but they have branched out into mineral makeup (which I will review soon. It's good!) and bath and body products. This seven ounce body butter is just $4.00 and even less in the gift kit. It's not the best but it is well worth the price.

About e.l.f. Body Butter - All scents

e.l.f. has just come out with a full line of bath and body products in the following scents: Pineapple Mango, Vanilla Coconut, Peony Petal, Cucumber Melon, and Lavender Blossom. Among the products they are offering is Body Butter in each scent for just $4.00 for a large seven ounce tub. They also offer a gift set which includes large sizes of Body Lotion, Hand Cream, Body Butter, Bath Gel, Hand Soap, and a gauze sponge for only $15.00. They come in a wicker basket too!

I have the Pineapple Mango and the Vanilla Coconut Body Butters and both have very similar consistencies so I believe I can speak on behalf of all the scents. This body butter is less like butter than mousse. It has a whipped consistency as opposed to a dense, very thick one. It is very fragrant - almost too much so at first - then, once on the skin, it settles down and just about disappears after about an hour.

The butter has loads of good for you ingredients in it. Each scent has slightly different ingredients which you can see on the website. When I put it on, it was not greasy at all. It quickly and easily absorbed into my skin and hydrated it without any fuss. Actually, the Body Lotion is much thicker and heartier than the Body Butter so, if you are looking for deep hydration, go with the lotion. This butter is more of a whipped, nicely scented formula that can be applied liberally and won't be greasy or heavy on the skin.

The scents are strong at first. The Pineapple Mango was super strong but I was amazed that the scent nearly disappeared after about 20 minutes and completely disappeared after an hour. Actually, I like that. I like the burst of scent and then it going away so I can use my perfumes and other fragrances without clashing.

Although this body butter is more like a body mousse, I like it. For $15.00 for five big products, a pouf, and a wicker basket, it's hard to go wrong. And, if you want just the Body Butter alone, $4.00 is a great price for so much product. It isn't the best but it's good and it's a good value. If you want a thicker, denser product, buy the Body Lotion which is more hydrating than the Body Butter.

My Viewpoint

You can see all the new bath and body products at www.eyeslipsface.com. There, you will see sizes, ingredients, and the products in the bath set as well as all the individual products. Although this butter isn't as dense and thick as what I think of when I think of body butter, I like its whipped texture and the way it absorbs. The price is very right too! 4 stars.

I didn't know they had a new body butter. Shoot, I'm gonna have to go place an order. I love that site--they have some good products at great prices!

You, too, suffer from dry skin? Drat. I tend to get very dry and flaky skin when I'm stressed or in the cooler, drier months. Nice review!
