Ever since I first saw a Bichon I have wanted one. Last year we brought Zachary into our homes and heart. He is so very cute and makes such faces that even when he is doing something he knows he should not do it is hard to punish him.

He was easy to house train, he is neat and does not have that "doggie smell." He is the perfect pet for allergy sufferers, and even likes to be brushed every day, which is necessary due to his thick coat.

He is a little stubborn, and a bit moody-- he does not like loud laughter unless he is causing it. But when he is tired and cuddly there is nothing sweeter.

In response to RudiXeno's comment from Feb 11, 2008 at 6:49AM:

Our little boy is more of a sock fan. He also likes shoes, but only if they are well worn. This is good because I love shoes and if he got to a new pair he would have to look for a new house (only slightly kidding).

Great breed! But warning: Do not leave undies on the floor. Bichons have a reputation for eating undies left on floor. I know, it sounds like a joke, but trust me. Take heed from the father of three daughters. But you gotta love them. Rudi
