I read your blog about Paula Abdul. I think I can give you some insight on her behavior. She has a medical condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I did a review on it. I know a lot about it because I have it too. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). It is a chronic neurological syndrome characterized by severe and relentless pain. This syndrome plays with your emotions and causes depression as well. There is a lot of other symptoms such as swelling, abnormal skin color changes, skin temperature, sweating, limited range of movement, movement disorders,...

Unfortuately, there is no cure for this syndrome. Most of the strongest medicines does not help. I'm not sure what medications Paula Abdul is taking, but I am on Neurotonin 600mg twice a day, which is a powerful dose. It puts me to sleep most of the time.
