Hello everyone! I have been unemployed since June 2009 and am trying to find ways to keep from going insane! I hate not working. I am married with no children of my own but have 4 stepchildren that are special! I was lucky enough to go to England, France and Italy on a train trip a couple of years ago and hope to return one day. As my name implies, I hope that one day with perseverance and lots of working out, that I will be 130 pounds!

I hope to learn about this site and hope I will be able to help others.

Hi I am Melody, I live in yelm, washington. I am a retired musician and now I sell italian ice from a push cart at farmers markets and craft shows. I enjoy crafting and doing the shows. I am married ,I have two senior cats and a blue amazon parrot, living on 5 acres of peace and tranquility. I have 3 children all grown with grandkids old enough to move out and start a life of thier own.  Born into show business. Dad was a magician for over 60 years, he was so good he made my mother disappear lol. I am happy, healthy and lovin life

Hi to all I missed in the last few days.  I hope everyone has as much fun here as I do.

Marty here (Aleconner).  With the exception of the 4 years I lived in Mexico, I have lived in or near Chicago my whole life.  My day job is in manufacturing, but it's my avocation that brings me to Viewpoints: beer and brewing.  I have been following the renaissance in the American brewing industry since its inception back in the early 1980's -including lots of travel throughout the United States and Europe.  After becoming a homebrewer, I decided to write about my experiences and have now published 4 books on beer and brewing. 

To date I have visited over 250 breweries and tasted over 1,000 different commercial beers -many of them at their source.  I enjoy sharing my evaluations and observations with Viewpoints readers.  I only wish more of them shared my passion.
