My desk chair sucks! But the characteristic of my office which is my least favorite is the walls: they're paper thin, and people on the other side talk and talk and talk... I guess not having windows can also get to me after a while. I might have to try the poster thing. :)

I put up a poster of a waterfall on the wall and put curtains around it. No, it wasn't a real window, but it made me feel more like I was Near fresh air.

I worked in a cubicle for 30 years. We called them pods. Everything ergonomically worked out and approved by flaming experts. We actually had to take a class on how to best use our "Bulldog" chairs. All the nice overhead storage and files were just enough out of reach so you had to stand up when you wanted something. Maybe they thought we needed the exercise.

Now I have a home office and it's totally tuned to MY needs. Everything is within reach and easy to find. I spend 12 hours a day in my office running my business, Choicevac, and find the KISS principle works best.

I have an HP C5180 Photosmart All-in-one. I have had it for almost 4 years now and its had no mechanical problems. I love that each color is a separate cartridge, it accepts different memory cards and doesn't require a computer. The only thing I don't like about it is the photo editing software that comes with it. When I first got it, I had Windows XP. I was ableto do so much, including reducing blur and adding special effects. However, when I got a new laptop with Windows Vista, HP did not support the software. Now I am left with Photosmart Express which does only the most basic photo editing. I would love to get a newer model, but hate to do so just because HP wouldn't support their software and when what I have works just fine. I guess that's how technology goes, though.

I own an HP OfficeJet L7680 Series, AIO and it works well for us. We frequently receive faxes, scan (documents and pictures), make copies and do everyday as well as high-end printing from the unit and it has never let me down. Print Carts. are one $15.00 a pop, except for the the Black, which retails for $19.00.

I like the HP Officejet J4580 All-in-one. It copys, prints, scans and even sends and recieves faxes. The print quality is very nice and the printer is small and yet effective. It is also affordable. I got mine for under a $100.00. Very nice printer and great for a home based buisness. Something I had in mind when I bought it.

If you haven't picked anything up yet, I'd consider an HP or Canon all-in-one. Having only one device for printer/copier/fax saves a ton of space.

Yes,it is bad and yes it is true but the truth is we all are guilty of stupid things from time to time.I had a bad childhood,my neighbor had a bad childhood and so on.I didnt deserve having my coffee spat in by her nor my work stolen by her off of my desk ,all true and she was repremanded for it.I too agree about karma and it just turned around and bit her back in the ass.Did I feel bad,no! How do I knw what diseases she may or may not harbor and who spits in peoples coffee just because they can.I would do it again and dont really care.I am glad she is someone elses problem and as for a lawsuit you have to know who sent the info, where it generated and none of those things have been established but it has been established she stole my hard work and spat in my coffee so you know what good for her.

We had this girl at our office who use to make everyone misserable. She use to talk crap about everyone so I decided I was tired of her harrassing all of us so I sent everyone a mean and annyonomous e-mail that was untraceable from her telling everyone that she had a bad case of the clap and that she was so bitter because she had been itching and dripping for so long.I also stated that it would be under control soon as soon as she finished all the antibitics that she was on and to please direguard the smell.Let's just say she moved on and found someone else office to ruin.Has anyone ever been so tired of someone at their office that even they considered doing such a horrible thing?

I got a Brother MFC-7440N multifunction printer about six months ago and really like it. It has a monochrome laser printer, color scanner, and can function as a printer, scanner, copier and fax machine. It prints clean documents and nice copies. And it's easy to use its scanner.

When I was looking, I made a point to check out the cost of replacement toner cartridges. A toner cartridge for most Brother laser printers is around $35, which is a bargain for laser toner cartridges. That's a big reason why I went with the Brother MFC-7440N and so far, so good.

Secret Shoppers

Here's one I found in my email. I think it has a range of shops. Can't recall for sure. Been a while.

cybershoppersonline - add www in front and dot com at end

I signed up direct with various companies like the one above.

Where I got some info on shops vs services that just want you to pay money was at Volition - www volition dot com slash mystery slash html. It is a place to chat about different companies and get leads as I recall.

It's been a while, so I'm not real clear on the details. And, some things may have changed too.

OK. I can't post the full link. Trying without the www. Just add that in front of the two that look like links.

I did it mostly to get firsthand info on this type of quality control for classes I teach.

I got blocked when I tried to be more clear on the links. Hope you guys can figure those out. If not, try to google the main word with mystery shop, and you should find them.
