The tags depend on when you earned the points.  They do re-set yearly so you may not have had enough points for 2009 yet to have a badge show up.  Check out the description of how the VIP program works too that should help clarify some things for you as well.

Carrie's right -- you have to earn 50,000 points in a single year to be awarded a VIP badge. And you'll go through a slew of other badges before you get to VIP, such as Writer, Contributor and Advisor. It's quite an achievement to get a VIP badge.

Once you earn a VIP (or any other badge) it sticks with you for the next year. However, this is under discussion and that may change.

You have 7000 lifetime points. If you click through on the points, you can see how many apply to this year. This is what really matters for your current badge since badges are given based on annual activity. So, keep writing-- you are close!!!!
