Under the product name look on the right side for a small icon that say 'Edit' the review. Click on that, make all your changes, then re-submit. Good luck!

I think krislynn is right... A lot of people read and may forget to vote. Our community, like many others, is a lot like karma. The more good stuff you put out there, the more you get back in return. When you increase the frequency of friending, reading, commenting and voting then those actions tend to come back for you more often. In the meantime, we can explore ways to highlight the voting buttons on future re-design projects down the road.

I have some helpful votes on my two most popular reviews, but not a high number of votes. I am not sure why this is, but I guess maybe some just read the reviews and don't think to give a helpful vote or maybe some are new to the website and don't know about the helpful vote.

It is discouraging like Jo said.

When I look at a review that I think people would want to read and see that there isn't one vote I wonder what is wrong. Then there are the reviews with great comments from 6 people and two votes. How can we make this friendlier to vote? Jo

I give helpfuls for almost every review I read. I would not give a helpful on something that is rude, mean, or inconsiderate--I'd probably click on "inappropriate" instead and click on no. Some of my reviews with the most hits actually have the fewest number of helpful votes. This may just indicate that more people from outside of Viewpoints are reading the review. I think Viewpoints reviewers are more likely to click on "yes" than someone who is searching through lots of reviews before making a purchase.

My most popular review (on a light truck tire) now has a bit more than 2,500 hits. My next closest is at about 1,950 (on a car tire) and then 1,825 (on laminated flooring). What's really interesting is that my review of Wal-Mart's synthetic motor oil has received 636 hits in six weeks. This is for a $3.10 bottle of oil!

You really just never know what people are searching for on the Internet.

--Bob

Wow..mine is still a mattress and I'm still so surprised that some of my electronics reviews, sporting goods stuff just don't have the hits I would expect. Jo

My FitFlops are up to nearly 10,200 hits. Clearly the review is linked somewhere. I am sure that now that the weather is cooling down, so will the hits. But it's really amazing watching them rise and wondering why.

I still don't understand why some of my reviews are way up at the top, especially Cris Angel Mindfreak (The show). Must be some hardcore Cris Angel fans out there or something.

Is that for the whole 12 Month enchilada....the one that only begins from April 24?!?!

Compared to the 10,200 hits for the FitFlops, my very best (hits-wise) is my Top List of Romantic Movies, with 1896 page views as of this posting. Figures, because my most clicked-on review at "the other site" is my list of the best war movies.

Ironically, in the 12-month stats, my second-best is my review of "the other site."

Yeah, that number is from April when they started tracking hits. My second review is about half that many hits and it goes down pretty quickly from there as far as hits go. I really don't get the whole FitFlop thing. There are something like 28 other reviews of the shoes here and I am sure there are better reviews out there. I didn't put much effort into that review, I have to admit.

My second most popular review is of the Easy Curves Bar and that is the one with 57 HVs and a whole forum of comments from people discussing the product. It's really actually fun to see so many people on one of my reviews who signed up just to discuss this little gadget. I love when stuff like that happens.

I never reviewed either of those products anywhere else. It would be interesting to compare how they performed elsewhere but they aren't in the database and I'm too lazy to request them. Plus I like to try to write unique things on each site I write for although that obviously isn't possible all the time. I only own so much. SO MUCH! lol.

Financial reviews often do get lots of hits and using key words like Amazon.com, Visa, and Credit Card is certain to make this review show up in many online searches.

Well, I've only been writing here for about a week, so I'm shocked that anybody has read any of mine. Well, except for maybe my sister. Of course I haven't had a huge number of reads on any of mine, but the highest ones I have are a camera and a stroller. I'm wondering if the camera one got a lot of hits because I had a picture of my daughter with her hair sticking straight up. Electronics and baby items are probably pretty expected for high numbers of hits, but thought y'all might humor me and read this anyway.

Considering there are several reviews of these shoes here and on the net, I can't imagine why so many people are going to mine every day. It's over 3000 views by a good amount and it sems to just be picking up steam. No complaints from me but I wonder where everyone is seeing the link to the review. And how I can get ALL my reviews linked there. lol lol.

As the weather gets warmer, I am seeing reviews of things like cellulite products (that don't work), self tanners, summer sandals, fans, and even certain websites that sell clothing moving up. Mattresses must get a motherload of hits because my cheap mattress foam topper is #7 on my list with a lot of reads. I love the stats. It's fun to see what people are reading and perplexing at times. Like discontinued Hanes Tights are up there. WHY? I don't even think they are selling anymore. But I'm happy as long as people are reading anything of mine!

There are at least three of us with lots of hits for mattress reviews. I'm guessing that, since mattresses are so very expensive these days, people do a lot of research before buying one. I know I got lots of messages from people saying that they had no idea haggling was even an option at a mattress store.

She was shocked as all out that Iknew what the heck she was talking about.

Ha! The hits are climbing for that review. There are many other reviews on them so I don't know why my hits are so high. Of course, the other people's reviews also may have as many reads. It is scary because I forget people are reading what I write and taking my advice. I just hope I do right by people when I review things. I try hard to see all sides of things.

I have gone over 1000 reads on FitFlops as of today. (1021). That's crazy! I have not reviewed them anywhere else and I think that maybe reviews of these exercise shoes/flip flops are hard to come by. Or someone has linked me. The reads are going up like crazy day by day. Of all things... lol. T'is the season though and they are back in stock. They were sold out pretty much all last summer.

Rudi, you ARE the mattress guy. You do a service for people because I know when I go to get a mattress, I am completely lost as to where to start let alone what to buy. I love your reviews!
I think Cyndi raises an interesting point... these lists will be driven by seasonality. Peoples patterns change daily. ;) Also, it is often the obscure products that come to the top- like Peppermint Soap because nobody else on the web has them. So, you get exclusive rights to eyeballs. :) heheheheh.

HAHA!) This website is so much fun, honestly I'm having a really great time here. Have a nice day everyone. I'm going to bed where most people are by now.

I'm a little surprised to see that my most popular review is for a light truck tire. I wrote the review several months ago but it is my most popular review by a healthy margin, exceeding even some electronic items that I thought would be really hot. In two weeks, that tire review has gotten 220 hits, and another tire review is in my top 10.

What is your most popular review?

--Bob
