Although Monday is extra great because most of us have the day off, it is important acknowledge the meaning of Memorial Day.
The Viewpoints Team would like to thank our service men and woman serving today. Hope we can all take a minute to appreciate and remember those who died fighting for our country. So many of us have special people in our lives who now serve in the U.S. Military, are surviving Veterans or fallen heroes. Please feel free to share stories of the people in your thoughts this Memorial Day.
My grandfather, Glen, was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of a crew who escorted Roosevelt to meet Churchill at Malta by ship. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. My two cousins make me extremely proud as well... Jacob, a recent Duke Law grad and Marine Lt. and Jonah, a Marine and Naval Flight Officer at Pensacola's Air Station. Words can't describe how much these amazing men mean to me and our family.
Happy Memorial Day, everyone!
Now, it's your turn to share stories here...
