Oklahoma is the only state in the contiguous 48 that I have not visited. I have heard mixed sentiments about the state, with some liking it for its reasonable cost of living and others criticizing it for lack of scenery and entertainment. Still, it would likely make a better choice then Rhode Island. Yes, the taxes are much lower in Oklahoma and most goods are cheaper, too.
