How far along are you with your Christmas shopping?

Been done. However, I keep it to fairly practical items and for
people and family that I know well.

thanks for the offer. I finished my shopping earlier this week. It was convenient because my 97 year old Grammy (great-grandmother) had a massive stroke, my 93 year old grandfather had a heart attack, Grammy went into hospice, we moved my other grandparents to their new house.... oh and my mother now has shingles and the doctors are trying to tell her that she can't visit Grammy in hospice.

I think I have presents for everyone. If I don't.... well, if they are friends, they will understand!

I think it's got a lot to do with the economy... everyone is afraid to spend money! I know I've been holding off on some ideas b/c they weren't good enough for me to spend the money on.

I have a couple of gifts only. This year just isn't my year. I usually start in September and am done by Halloween...not this year.

I am waaaay behind on my shopping. Usually 3/4 done by now but can't seem to get motivated. It isn't that we don't have the snow to make it seem more like Christmas. My daughter is going to have twins (their first) Dec. 29th. A boy an a girl. Had a shower for them Thanksgiving day. Guess I'm thinking more about things going ok for her.

I was finished two weeks ago! I like to shop all year long. If I happen to see something immeidately after Christmas that I know someone will love for a birthday or Christmas gift the upcoming year, I pick it up and keep it until the right time! Haha. It sounds nuts, but it helps me in two major ways:

(1) I don't have to worry the entire month of December that I won't get my birthday/holiday shopping done in time (my two sisters and my dad have birthdays in November, December and January).

(2) I don't freak out like I use to in December when my bank account is suddenly cut in half from shopping. I keep myself on a pretty strict budget each month, so it makes it more affordable to just buy gifts throughout the year rather than set aside money for shopping only in December.

I'm only about half-finished. I was half-finished two weeks ago too. I'm stumped on what to get a few family members... and still haven't come up with any ideas. I am going to have to sit down tonight and really get serious about finishing up my shopping. I'm usually done by now and the fact that I'm not (and not even close) is starting to stress me out.
