This isn't a real bug but I wanted to let people know that I had 15 ratings and knew that wasn't done on purpose. I went through many of my reviews and found 10 that didn't have I AM tags. I added them and are now down to 5. So if you find yourself in the same boat it didn't take long:)

The little Gremlin is back and it is still only happening on page 1 of the "Latest Reviews" page 2 is fine.......I say it has to be in the coding of page one, not returning the right commands......It may be when a new review is posted while reading it gets confused about where it was on the previous page or something.

1) I noticed the extra column on the left to Refine Results while looking at the latest reviews.....The problem I am having is 2 fold... The first is that after I read and check yes/no for helpful and either comment or not, I hit my back 1 page to read another but it just goes back to the first review even if I am on the bottom of the page. I address issue #2 in a reply to both you and Laurie on the page 3 here in the thread.

A screen shot would not explain it.......ok...you go to read the latest reviews and you start on page 1... then say you are half way down the page and read a review. When you are finished you hit pageback....it should take you back to where you were to read the next in line but it doesn't it goes back to the top of the page of reviews. This only happens on page 1 of the reviews, once you get to page 2 it acts normal. I hope I explained it good enough as I don't know how else to say it. The only explaination I can think of is a return command was left off of page one when the edit was done.

Got it! Thanks Ron for explaining further. I just tried re-creating the issue you've experienced and it appears to be corrected. I scrolled down, about half way through page 1 of Recent Reviews - clicked on a review to read it - then hit the back button. I was taken back to half way down page 1 of Recent Reviews where I had been prior to clicking thru to read a review. Things seem to be functioning properly. Give it another try and let me know if you don't get the same results I do. (FYI: I'm using a PC with Internet Explorer as my browser.)

That could very well be it.....wonder why it still would not let the whole thing be seen though...wierd! Now if someone could explain why it won't backpage to where you started I can go on just being "normally confused" ;)
You are actually viewing all there is to view when you see a rating but hit the "read full review" link only to be re-routing to all reviews. We're working on a way to display ratings differently so the read full review link does not appear when there is no additional text to open up. Sorry for the confusion. Bear with us as we resolve this issue with ratings. Silver lining: You're not going wacky from lack of sleep! :)

Update: Weekly Friends Activity Digest Email

A couple of you have mentioned that your Latest Reviews By Your Friends email is M.I.A. (missing in action.) Here's what we're working on... The Latest Reviews by Your Friends email will be replaced with a Weekly Friends Activity Digest email. The friends activity digest will be a huge upgrade! You'll be able to see your friends reviews, comments, who's added a friend/fan, new photos and more! Expected arrival time to your email inbox... Within the next couple of weeks!

Hey Steve. Be sure to check your Time Period settings on your stats page. The options are:

last 30 days

last 3 months

last 12 months

Now that we just switched over to a new month, the count will change depending on your time period setting. Make sense?

We'll look into this one... However, when you publish the review, are the pros/cons appearing correctly? If I'm understanding you correctly, you only see the funky spacing in the Edit/Write Review screen right?

Arrrrr!!! I see your Pirate's of the Caribbean review on your profile page now. There can be a 30 minute delay.

It's your Lake Tahoe review that is listed a rating because "I Am" tags are omitted. If you edit that review to add I Am tags the system will then upgrade it to a review.

Hey PT :) If you'd prefer not to receive real time updates of comments you receive then go to Email Settings - Notifications - Select "Off" under the New Comment - find out when someone posts a new comment for you. You will still receive a Weekly Friends Digest (if that notification is turned on) that will show comments.

I used to get an email every night (well, morning) at around 5 a.m. with my friends' reviews, my daily comments, and the most helpful reviews. (Three different emails). Are the daily digests discontinued? Weekly comments would be too much to keep up with so I will just keep the real time comments. :)

The review page will not allow you to add live links to external web sites. However, you can add the URL address by using the un-link button in your tool bar. There are 2 buttons on the edit review page that manipulate links:

Insert/Edit Link

Unlink

Highlight the external web address in the text with your mouse, then click the Unlink button in the tool bar. You can then save the review with no problem.

One thing I thought I should mention is that --even though I have tried five times -- I just cannot award Lisa Carey either a helpful vote nor send her a compliment on her great review about Jott.com. Nor can I access her profile page to send her a message that way. When I try to do anything in regard to communicating with Lisa, I get a message at the bottom that says "Done, Error on Page". I'm not sure what to make of this because I went on to read a whole bunch of other people's reviews and had no problem making helpful votes or sending comments. (Apparently, George Chabot was able to send her a comment and make a vote so when I saw that, I tried again today with no luck.) Just don't want to see anybody cheated out of a helpful vote which they deserved for an excellent review.
AnnaBanana - Kyle found the weird bug causing the problem and will have this resolved shortly. Wow... that was a doosie! Good catch.

Bummer about those missing email notifications again! We'll look in to it this week. Let me know if you happen to find them in your spam box for some reason.

You mentioned your "posts" count is off. Are talking about discussion board posts or your review/rating posts? Just wanted to clarify. Discussion board post count issues is on our list of items to check if that's what you meant :)

The reason you may see less reads and more helpful votes is because the data only tracks reads since April this year. However, we were able transfer over all historical good points earned to helpful votes prior to April. The timing factor is why the results seem off. Hope this helps!

We didn't start tracking page view stats until the end of April. So it is possible that those "missing" reviews just haven't been read recently.

Hey, Meredith! The beat goes on, huh? I bet you'll be glad when I'm gone for a week but anyway, here's one more thing I've noticed. Could it be that you guys have been having a problem with people setting up duplicate reviews of products? This could be caused by a problem I've noticed -- if I call up "Amy's", the message says that something like 32 grocery items have been found but really only 15 are displayed. Several of the Amy's products I've reviewed are not shown at all even though they are out there and I can call them up individually. I'm assuming there are other pages with the other items but there is no way to hit "Next" and bring them up. And no "Show All" option either. So all anyone can see is the first 15 that comes up. The only way to call up any other Amy's product is to type in the exact name of the product but this is cumbersome and possibly ineffective if the product isn't worded in a certain way.

I just wrote a review and I didn't quite finish it so I saved it in draft. I just went back in to finish it and publish but noticed that the two photos I uploaded were gone. It has also happened to me in the past. Not sure why this is happening! :O

Scribbles work OK now. Must have been a blip. Thanks for the reply, Meredith. Ron, if you use & in the pros and cons, it will show up like %. I have seen that a number of times on my own pros and cons. If you didn't use the & for anything, then there's sumthin funky goin' on. lol.

Has anybody else seen reviews where it has % sign in the pros and cons of a review? I see them here and there and sent some a while back to Meredith but they are still appearing. I am wondering if others have seen it with another browser as I use Firefox and it could just be my browser.

Good Morning. I noticed this yesterday morning on my stats...I have two of each review showing in there with different read amounts and some are the same amount reads for the both. I checked and I did only one reveiw for each. I thought it would be fine this morning, but still the same. All of the "reads" haven't changed (as in doubled and grand totals on the top of the page) and "good points" are fine too. It's a confuzzled bug :)

I sometimes have just the opposite problem with the I AM tags -- if I want to delete one, I will have a devil of a time doing it. It's very hard for me to delete them sometimes although other times it works beautifully.

Well, I have said this elsewhere but will report it here. When I go to edit a review, I lose some I AM tags. Not all but at least one or two. I generally use 4-5 tags. I generally lose two when I edit a review. Sometimes I can't even find the tag I used and have to make up a new one. It happens every single time I edit a review whether it is right after I publish it or weeks later. It also happens if I put a review in draft with I AM tags ticked. (Not mad but checked off. Heh.). When I go to publish the review, I AM tags are unticked and I have to do them again.

No idea why because it never happened until recently but I actually hesitate to edit a review for a small error because I don't want to mess with the I AM tags trying to get the same ones I had before back.
