The Holidays are coming around and the partys are being planned. What scent of candles do you like to burn? And which ones do you wish you would of left at the store.!.

Good-Yankee Candle- Tea&Honey.          Bad-Yankee Candle- Pine.

I discovered a fragrance that I liked a lot last year. It is made by Yankee Candle and called, Feliz Navidad.

Top choices: vanilla, cinnamon, eucalyptus, or any spicy blends

Least liked: baked goods, flowers unless mild

I love candles, and I'm jealous of all of you who can burn them anytime.

I'm afraid that the cats will get into them (they're SO curious about anything different), so I only use them when other people come over and the cats hide!

I love cinnamon. Whenever I walk into a store that has lots of cinnamon cones I buy a package but my house never smells like the store!

I LOVE the cinnamon ones in the winter. If the candles runs out before I'm done with the smell, I just put a pot on the stove (old, of course) and simmer water with cinnamon sticks, orange peel and cloves. Yummy!

I too have the same problem with cats and candles we put them up high and a place so they can't get to them. Little buggers.

That describes me perfectly too.  My favorite candle is Yankee's Buttercream.  It's so yummy.  I also love Macintosh and another one of theirs that's discontinued called Holiday Sage. I stocked up on that one when they stopped making it and have 1 left.

Have you smelled the new one called Christas at the Beach?  It's awesome.

No, I haven't heard of that one before!  I do love Christmas Cookie though because it smells like buttercream in a way.  I want to try that one that I left you a helpful vote for - I already forgot what the scent is :) LOL

It is described as a cheerful celebration of buttery cream, raisins, wild currants, nutmeg, ginger and cardamom.

I have one cat who will set himself on fire for sure someday so I only burn candles where I can see them and be sure the cat stays away. I like citrus scents year round but also like fresh and tropical scents as well. I never was a big one for holiday scents like pumpkin or pine but there some bakery scents that I love. I have one that is a cinnamon bun scent and is so realistic I can't believe it. I often use tarts and let them melt in a burner that uses a light bulb instead of a candle for safety. The cat can only dip his paw in that. I do NOT want an "Ode de Burning Kitty Fur" scent in the house. lol.

That is hilarious. We once had a strange, burning smell in our home. When we investigated, we discovered our cat laying IN the fireplace. It was a gas log fireplace and the heat was singeing his fur just enough to permeate the air with the burnt cat fur scent. The cat seemed oblivious to it all.

Jealous of all y'all. I have a way overdeveloped sense of smell. It's almost impossible for me to stay in a Bath & Body Works for more than 5 minutes. Forget that section in dept stores with cosmetics and perfumes, it's unbearable. One time I stepped inside our mall door and grabbed my nose and said "oh, God, they put a Yankee Candle in here." It was 6 stores down on the level above me.

It's hard to be in people's homes around the holidays because the windows are all closed and the candles are going. My eyes water and I get a headache. I'm not allergic or anything - I can wear fragrance mists, and light scents, but candles and incense and the like? ugh.

Yeah, I have pretty much always been that way. Right now I think I can smell a pencil and it's driving me nuts!

Especially like the cinnamon scent, but due to our cats I do  not burn anything regularly.    Even in an electrical outage, using a scented oil lamp is NEVER left without direct observation.
