i joined doTerra because I wanted to explore the use of essential oils. This oil was an extra gift that came as a promotion from a kit that I purchased. The claim for this product is that it will increase your metabolism and quell hunger pangs. I was mostly interested in the metabolic features, so I tried to use it (as instructed) as an additive to my water. I have to say, it was really awful to try and gag down. It has a strong citrus and bitter taste to it (kind of like the rinds of an orange or lemon). The quality of the products at doTerra are very good, but not enough to offset the extreme premium pricing they have. The Slim and Sassy product is one that I hear others talking about in a positive way, which is why I thought I would try it. My own experience is that they often don't result in the claims they make. Many people who use these blends for purposes like weight loss, emotional uplift, etc, seem to be trying to convince themselves that the product delivers the claim, but I have not found this to be true in my own experience yet. I absolutely use essential oils for health reasons, but I do not encourage their use, based on false promises. They are good for what they are good for - no more, no less. This one fell short for me.

I've been overweight since I was 10 years old and have always been trying to lose weight (I'm mid 30's now) I've tried what feels like everything and nothing seems to work (Weight Watchers, fitness video games and DVDs, moderation, etc.) I recently had a baby and with her birth, also came an additional 60 lbs. My cousin is a **d?TERRA **dealer and when my baby was sick, she suggested I use another oil to help her breathe - so when I was ordering that, I noticed the **d?TERRA Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend. **I've been pinching pennies in order to make ends meet - but at my wits end not being able to control my hunger. So I splurged and bought the **d?TERRA Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend. **Even with the first use, I felt a satisfied feeling. I didn't want the chips and crackers in my drawer at work. I've only been using it a short time, but already feel a difference! The instructions are to take 4 drops with every 8 ounces of water in between healthy meals. (I've done 6 drops in my 16.9 oz water-bottle and it does the trick.) This is the boost that I needed to control my hunger and start losing weight! I'm so glad I found this product! I would recommend this to anyone who is having a hard time controlling their (munchies) and emotional hunger.
