It’s been two long years, almost completely absent of excruciating awkwardness (save for frequent repeats on HBO), but now Larry David is back with another season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and he’s more eager to set an example than ever. There are so many “lessons” packed in the first few episodes, it’s giggle-inducing and still a little uncomfortable just recalling them.

Without giving too much away, here are some of the highlights: The utterly un-foolproof way to skip a friend’s party; how to make houseguests feel truly welcome; the trick to not winning the Newlywed Game; how to get pesky stains (stains we can’t even talk about) out of blankets; the upside of being Anonymous; the unwritten laws of dry cleaning (take it, lose it, is it really all even?); that “playing ghost” isn’t for everyone; and why sometimes sampling should go unscrutinized. Really, it’s a wonder he manages to pack it all in!
