True Snap-on has out standing tools, having said that you have to be in the top working class to afford the price tag. A few dollar difference, I question that remark. but as far as quality Craftsman has always backed their products and has never given me a lick of trouble. (broken tool for new).
I can say that craftsman has come out with some very innovative tools for the home DIY/handyman. For the most part the tools are priced a little higher than others, but to steal the Fraze "You get what you pay for" Quality and dependability
Craftsman has been around as long as many others (Snap-on included). Craftsman provides a quality tool at a affordable price. If you want a cheap tool, buy a knock off brand and see if they back the broken parts... Good luck on that one
