We were given one of these popcorn makers to use in our school, and we used it for a few years to make popcorn for the kids during their break times. Ease of Use This popcorn maker can make a large amount of popcorn at once, and you don't need to watch where it's coming out like with the ones that pop out the top and pour into a separate bowl. This one also used the liquid butter flavoring, which was very easy to add before you started popping. Durability Our popcorn maker was used when we received it, and I do not know how old it was or how much it had been used before we started. However, it was in pretty good shape and dint look old or beat up. We used it pretty consistently (2-3 times a day, 4-5 days per week) for a couple school years before it gave out (it was hardly used through the summer). It seems to me that it should have lasted longer, but it's hard to know for sure when we don't know how old it was when we started using it.
