Children's Orchard is a baby and children's store exchange.  I found this store through my daughter with my first grandchild.   It's a great store with a surprisingly large selection of items for babies and children.  They carry clothing, toys, books, baby items and many accessories for sale.  Some items even have their original tags.    

It's an absolutely great solution to finding a way to recycle the clothing, toys and equipment children grow out of and get store dollars to purchase much needed age appropriate clothing and toys.  Unlike a thrift shop, Children's Orchard is a clothing exchange and only carries gently used items.  It is well organized and offers an excellent selection of items, brands and sizes. 

Spring cleaning your kids closet is always rewarded with a nice store credit or cash for good condition items.    Children's Orchard near us accepts items as big as children's beds. 

Items brought in to be sold must be clean, without stains or damage, fashionable, complete, and in good working order.  They will buy it, even when it's off-season.   Items that they do not accept for sale can be placed in for charity and they will provide a receipt for tax purposes.  They do not accept car seats, stuff toys or any recalled items.

You can choose store credit or cash for your items.  Store credit is best if you have small children as this option is always more in the way of dollars.  They have a guarantee to provide the best local price for your items. 

Because Children's Orchard has such strict guidelines on what they accept to purchase, their store offerings are top-of-the-line clothes, including designer names, toys, baby items and even furniture that are in excellent condition.  It is well organized and not at all like shopping at a thrift store.  Prices are reasonable and all at a fraction of the retail price.  It's a great way to dress your kids fashionably on a budget.
