The best cloth diaper!

5

In my opinion, Bumgenius 4.0's are the best cloth diaper! They come in adorable colors, and I like that they have both a waist and leg snap which helps get the perfect fit. The snaps hold up well, and I am planning on using our 4.0 diapers when my next baby is born in a few months. We used cloth diapers exclusively, and I am very pleased how well they have held up after almost two years of daily use. We have a few different brands of cloth diapers in our stash, and these were the favorite by far. Ease of Use Bumgenius 4.0's are very easy to use. I am the first person in my family to use cloth diapers for my baby, and many family members were concerned about how to use cloth diapers. I think they were thinking of the old school prefold and pins method, but were very surprised to see these updated cloth diapers. My husband had never changed diapers until our daughter was born, and within months was telling all of our expecting friends to try these cloth diapers. I was worried about how the grandmas would handle changing cloth diapers, but they absolutely loved these! Whenever babies are mentioned, both grandmas always suggest cloth diapers and say how easy they are to use. We do have a few different brands of cloth diapers, and I always sent these if someone else was watching my daughter since I found them to be the easiest diaper to use. Leak Prevention My daughter rarely had leaks using the bumgenius diapers. I think this is partly due to having adjustable waist and leg size snaps so the diapers can be fitted perfectly. I did switch to using prefolds as an insert instead of the included microfiber inserts, but that was more due to a smell issue than leak issue. Comfort The bumgenius diapers seemed to be very comfortable for my daughter. The inside is soft, and the outside did not cause rashes or chaffing for my daughter. Being able to adjust the size of the diaper is great, and helped to make a comfortable fit for my long skinny daughter throughout the nearly two years that she used these diapers. Absorbency I rated the absorbency based on the shell, and not the microfiber inserts that come with the shell. I used a folded prefold as an insert during the day, and two prefeolds as a night time insert. This worked great, and my daughter hardly ever had leaks! I did find that the microfiber inserts that came with the diaper were relatively absorbent, but we started to have stink issues with the microfiber inserts which is why we switched to a different insert.

LOVE This Diaper

I tried a few cloth diaper systems before settling on the Bumgenius brand of diapers. This diaper worked best for my child from six months to present (almost two years of age). My diaper stash is small - less than ten diapers - so they get washed almost every single day. I wash them on the sanitize cycle in a HE washer, and they have held up beautifully. I use All Free and Clear detergent to clean them. I have never had to strip them or had any problems with absorbency. They still perform like new, the elastic is still snug, and they do not leak. Given the wear and tear I have put these through, I am super satisfied with their construction and performance. The microfiber lining keeps moisture away from my baby's bottom and it seems to resist staining, as I've had no problems with stains. I like the snaps because I have had other velcro diapers and it's a hassle to keep the velcro in good shape. Love these diapers.

Love the Snaps, Only Diapers my Daughter Can't Take Off!!

The bumgenius 4.0 diapers are great, and while I like the velcro closure I LOVE the snap closure! My daughter who is now 17 months learned how to take her diapers off at 9 months, cloth with velcro and disposables. These diapers with the snaps are the ONLY ones she has still not learned how to remove. I had to add a second insert around 15 months because she began leaking with only one insert in the, but Bumgenius sells these with two inserts so I didn't have to buy anything extra I just starting putting the second insert to use. These are one size, the didn't start fitting my daughter until about 3 months, I probably could have used them earlier but even then they were huge and bulky on her. I have loved the fit from 8 months through now, she still has another snap to go before these are expanded to the largest size so I do believe they will last us until she is potty trained. Anyone looking at cloth diapers I definitely recommend the snaps! Leak Prevention Might need to add an extra insert but other than that works great!

Great long lasting diaper

I have had the same 4.0 diapers for 2+ years. I love the versatility of the diaper over an all in one, I generally use hemp or cotton inserts to stuff not Micro fiber. The colors and prints available are great! I am usually a snap-hater when it comes to diapers, this is the exception. The stretchy tabs make a world of difference! In any other diaper if I stuffed it full for overnight, or if my kids were in between sizes it would never snap right. They are extremely easy to use, I usually stuff them when they come out of the wash to make it more "dad" friendly. While my covers are worn and old, I do have some new ones, but you can't tell the difference. I wash on Hot, and line dry them, and they look great!

Best cloth diapers

I have been using Bumgenius diapers for little over a year now. I started using them because my daughter developed an allergy to disposables. I wish I would of started using these to begin with. They never leak! The colors and designs they come in are darling. They aren't bulky. A quality product that I will use for years to come!
