I have used bumgenius for 4 years now. They work great & have lasted us through two children so far. The resale value on them is great so they really do save you a ton of money. They are very absorbant. We have a 2 year old & still just use one insert even for overnight, but for very heavy wetters just add an extra!

Hands Down the best

5

I have used many different cloth diapers since I first started last year. I tried economy, middle class, and the higher end diapers, which is what these are. By far, these offered the best as far as leak protection, correct sizing, ease of use, and ease of cleaning. We started using these after my son start solids (which is the worst kind of poo to try to clean!) and never had problems. A diaper sprayer will make cleaning easier, but they are not a necessity. These diapers fit most babies from 8 lbs to 35 lbs, although they will be quite bulky on smaller babies. Yes, cloth diapers are more bulky than disposables in general, but these are on the trimmer side. They have a great variety of colors. The snaps are my preferred method of closing the diapers. They are more secure, harder for baby to undo, and will not need replacing like the velcro versions. I give them a 9 because my son, around 1 year old, became a pretty heavy wetter and the single insert was just not cutting it--I would have to change him after an hour or so. I now double it with the included newborn insert. Now, we can go longer without changing, however, that makes them more bulky. If your child struggles with diaper rash, look no further. These diapers have yet to give my son a rash. Ease of Use These go on and come off just like a disposable. The only difference is that these are 'pocket' style, so you pull the inserts out to wash them. That means that they wash up much better, and dry much faster than your typical All-In-One's which are exactly like a disposable (no inserts or anything to mess with; it's all sewn together). Leak Prevention Like I said above, we didn't have leaks. Then my son became a super heavy wetter. Since doubling up on he inserts, we have no leaks. Comfort The lining is very soft, and my son never complains! Absorbency As your child gets older, the one-size insert may not be enough. Just double it with the newborn like I do, or else look into some super absorbent inserts elsewhere.

Easy to use and great for childcare

5

We have been using the Bumgenius 4.0 for about nine months now, and love it! I find that the snaps are easy to use, and longer lasting than the velcro. The liners are very thick and we haven't had any problems with leaks because of all of the different size settings. One thing we were worried about was using them with our childcare, but because they are all-in-one, they are just as easy for a nanny/daycare to use as a disposable diaper. Great product and will definitely be using these for our next babies! Ease of Use The snaps are easy to use and easy to adjust. We bought velcro ones too and found that we like the snaps better because the velcro seems to be collecting various threads and fuzz. Leak Prevention We haven't had any leaks yet, even after 10 hours of sleeping through the night! Absorbency The 4.0 comes with a liner + newborn liner. For nighttime and heavy wetters, the newborn liner works as a great additional stuffing.

I am a big fan of these all in one diapers.

I have a few of the bumGenius 4.0 One Size Snap Closure Cloth Diapers that are the all in one types. My preferred diaper is a pocket diaper but these all in ones are simple and great to use for when you are having heavy wetting issues like doing errands, naptime, or bedtime. Ease of Use These diapers are very easy to use. I got these on load when I first started cloth diapering and had no instructions on how to use them or anything. There is no stuffing no taking things apart, you just put them on like a regular disposable diaper because it is all on piece and snap them into a snug position. When you are done you can snap them closed to keep them sealed from any leaks or anything. Leak Prevention I have very rarely had any leaks with these diapers unless they are left on to long. Comfort I love the fit of these diapers on my son. They never leave any marks on my son's legs or belly. Absorbency These work great as a long term or over night solution when cloth diapering.

Favorite Cloth Diaper!

These have been my go to diaper for both of my cloth diapered babies. The reason I love these so much are 1. they are durable. I have used them for 5 years through 2 kids and they still work and look great! The key is to keep proper washing of them and try to line dry as much as possible. 2, they Save A TON of money! especially when you see they are able to be used through multiple kids! 3. I never had leaks with these. With the doubler they are even great overnight. 4. They are a great fit on both my daughter and now my son. Also since they are one size they can fit in them basically from birth to potty training! (again saving money) 5. Cloth diapering helped both my cloth diapered kids potty train early! they both were completely trained by 2 (day and night) I tried many many diapers with my daughter and these ended up being our favorite for both. You won't regret buying these good quality money saving diapers

The very best cloth diaper

5

I have been using cloth diapers for almost a year now and have tried just about every mainstream diaper on the market that is available in the U.S. I've even gone and learned how to make my own cloth diapers, which is a handy skill. However, Cotton Babies Bum Genius 4.0 pocket diaper is still hands down my very favorite diaper. It was the first diaper I ever purchased and still makes up the better half of my stash. I love how soft the suede cloth is, and I believe it is a better stay dry layer for baby's skin than fleece. It washes up clean every single time and I've never ever had issues with stains. Only a few have become pilly but most have not. I love the colors that are available in this line of diapers, and the prints are really cute. The fit on this diaper is the most versatile in my opinion, it is very comfortable and roomy on my chunky baby but can be adjusted to fit a smaller thinner baby. The only thing I don't like about this diaper are the micro fiber inserts that come with it but that is the norm with any modern cloth diaper. I don't use the inserts, I use something else. But that is what is great about pocket diapers over other modern cloth diaper options, is you have the ability to customize the absorbency by putting whatever you want inside the pocket. This diaper is truly amazing. You will not be dissatisfied. Ease of Use All you have to do is adjust the rise setting for your baby by weight, stuff the pocket, and put it on baby! Leak Prevention The only time I ever got a leak from this diaper was when I didn't put enough absorbent layers inside the pocket. It has never leaked due to poor fit or lack of waterproof-ness. Comfort Leaves minimal marks, if any, on my baby's thighs and back. Absorbency This gets a low score because I do not like the micro fiber inserts, micro fiber is not a very good product to absorb lots of amounts of liquid. Hemp is better.

My favorite cloth diapers!

5

When I decided to begin cloth diapering my first baby, I did a lot of research before buying any diapers. Over and over again I read about how pleased people were the Bum Genius 4.0 pocket diapers. I looked around to compare prices and found that they were very reasonable-- especially if you wait for a sale on their website. I've been using these diapers for 2 years now (I'm currently using them on my second child) and I still love them. They are incredibly soft, hold up very well, and rarely have leaks. Ease of Use The downside to a pocket diaper is that the inserts have to be put inside the diaper before it can be put on the child. This would be frustrating to do while my baby is trying to roll off the changing table so I "stuff" all my diapers after I've washed/dried them. Then, they are all ready to go when I need them. Once they are stuffed, these diapers are as quick to put on as a disposable. Even grandparents and babysitters can use them (although, I ask them to leave the dirty diapers out so they don't have to deal with removing the insert before putting it in the diaper bin). Leak Prevention When they are new, I've never had a leak. After using them 2 years, some are starting to leak occasionally. However, this could be because I hung them out to dry daily during a heat wave last year (temps of 100+). I later found out that high temps can cause the waterproof fabric to leak. Comfort These are super soft and my child has never complained about them. They are a little bulkier than a disposable but my child doesn't mind! Absorbency The inserts absorbed fabulously. You can also double stuff them so your baby remains dry all night. My children have never gotten diaper rashes with these diapers because they stay so dry.

High quality, long lasting diapers!

These are by far my favorite cloth diapers! They are truly 'one size', and my son wore them comfortably from the time he was 4 weeks old until we potty trained him at age 2.5. We adored these diapers and appreciated how easy they are to use and wash. I was expecting cloth diapering to be a pain, but bum genius makes it easy, and I actually ended up preferring bum genius cloth diapers to any other type of diaper (disposable or cloth!) The customer support offered by cotton babies (the diaper company that sells bum genius) is amazing. If you ask questions on their facebook wall or call the support number you always get personalized help very quickly. I've been so impressed with the diapers and the brand! I highly recommend them! The color and design options are always adorable and the snap closures are hard for kids to figure out, meaning they won't be able to undo their own diapers (hopefully!) the way that they can with disposable diapers or even cloth diapers with velcro closures. Absorbency We started using disposables at night when my son was around 1 year old. He would pee a lot at night and the bum genius just couldn't hold it all. During they day, they are stellar, but nighttime might not work if you have a kid that pees a LOT in the night like mine did.

Awesome cloth option!

5

Cloth diapering can be a scary idea, but going with BumGenius makes the switch so much easier. The diapers are easy to use and I love the material they are made out of. Pockets are easy to stuff - even though it takes a little bit of time. The one-size option makes the investment in cloth so much easier to swallow. It is an investment!! My only wish is that the inserts were more affordable. I like hemp and bamboo inserts and it is pricey to get those in any brand. Ease of Use So easy to use! Toss them in a pail and wash later. So easy! Leak Prevention No issues with our little boy. We use two inserts at night. Comfort No complaints from our boy. Haha - They seem to fit him comfortably. Absorbency Like I said, sometimes you need to use 2 inserts for longer stretches between changing.

Wonderful cloth diaper!

Love this cloth diaper - fits great, works really great during daytime and nighttime and has held up very well through lots of washes! I will be buying more of these soon! I love that it is a one-size product and the snap down rise makes it very simple to use on more than one child!
