I liked b. rose salon and spa on Southport Avenue in Chicago because it offers any service imaginable for a salon ( hair, nails, waxing, facials) and is large enough that I can usually get in with no appointment. However, the atmosphere is completely uninviting. When I was there I felt like cattle in a herd, just waiting to be directed towards the trough line. Everyone was nice. The service was fine. The fees were in-line, but the atmosphere left me yearning for a more individual environment where I wouldn't have to chat my way through the treatments.
Again, the service was quite acceptable and if you don't mind the larger spa, noisier, chattier spa experience, then you will find b.rose salon and spa nice enough. For me, I prefer something a bit less commercial feeling.
