Mt. Rushmore National Memorial

One of those MUST SEE places!

I had wanted to visit this Memorial on a previous vacation, but could not justify the lengthy out of the way driving to get to this single attraction. However, I had an event to attend in South Dakota, so we decided since we were so close we had to extend our stay in order to drive over. Yes there was lots of driving in the middle of not too much to look at. But it was an amazing masterpiece. I think it would have been cool to see it lit up at night, but we had gotten there early in the day and didn't feel like hanging around longer.
