Ok I own a mini cooper 08 model. Bought from pittsburgh, pa dealership. I haven't even reached 25,000 miles yet and needs new brakes/ tires.. Which are off the wall expensive. We called to get an estimate as to what it would take to get everything done on it and it was into several thousands. Like 900.00$ for one tire. Brakes cost 1100.00$ plus labor. I wouldn't have another car other than a mini. But when something tears up it is expensive to fix.
