Why spend more for a great education?

I live near Charlottesville, VA, and have been seeing my Mother through a series of health challenges. I've been impressed by the student nurses at the two local hospitals -- and at the Senior Living Center where she lives. They are getting a great education at Piedmont Community College -- which has a reciprocal relationship with nearby University of Virginia. At a fraction of the cost, a young person can get an RN degree at Piedmont in three years, get clinical experience at two quality local hospitals or a number of high-end geriatric centers, and then go on for a higher degree at a prestigious... review »
