Silky smooth skin that lasts but I want more fragrances.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I'm in the pool 2-4x per week for triathlon training, and I live in a cold climate, so I can tell you all about dry, cracking, itchy skin. I have tried countless body and face lotions, and I have to say that **Jergens Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer **is one of my favorites!

I have only used this product for a short time, but my skin was visibly smoother and softer after the very first use. I took a shower before applying this lotion for the first time, so my pores were open and my skin was clean. I immediately felt a minty-like tingle after applying this lotion. I am not sure if the lotion is meant to feel this way, but I practically felt my skin soaking up this lotion. It w...

Moisturizer? Try dry-irizer!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

I don't know what s me to buy a lotion with salicylic acid in it. Somehow I thought that it would clear up my skin while keeping it from drying out. I could not have been more wrong!

I used this lotion once per day for three days and on the fourth day my skin was peeling and flaky. When I first applied it I felt as though it was actually moisturizing my skin, but by the middle of the day my skin would feel very dried out.It did not clear up acne. It just cleared away my skin.

I honestly can't reiterate enough how much I disliked this "lotion." Now I have a full bottle just sitting in my bathroom cabinet wasting away, and I refuse to give it to someone else to try because I don't want the...

Ow! Super painful to use & not worth the money.

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Recently I wrote about my amazing experiences with Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub][1] and [Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15. I don't know if Aveeno has pore strips but if they do I will definitely be buying them next time. Never again will I buy Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips.I bought these strips because I trust the Biore brand name and thought they might help my blackhead problem. (My acne and dry skin is clearing after using the Aveeno products.) Man, was I wrong!

These strips were incredibly painful to use. I used them just as directed ("peeled" - aka RIPPED - the strip off my nose when it had hardened like paper mache) and my eyes welled up wit...

Scrumptious AND keeps me regulated. A win-win snack!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I decided to give **Kellogg's FiberPlus Chocolate Chip bars **a try when I found them on sale at my local grocery for $2.50 for 1 box or 5 boxes for $1.50 each.I eat granola bars daily - from Chewy to Nature's Valley - so I was interested to see how this bar stacks up to my usual eats. Put simply: we have a winner!

This bar is perfect when you have a chocolate craving but don't want to reach for the candy jar. It's large enough that I feel like my chocolate craving is met but small enough I don't feel guilty for devouring the entire thing.

On the other hand, though satisfying my chocolate addiction, at first I didn't feel like the Kellogg's FiberPlus Chocolate Chip bar necessarily cure...

I found a face wash I love: Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have tried countless face washes to clear up my acne and blackheads but they all either make my skin dry after extended use or do nothing to consistently clear up my acne and blackheads. That is, until Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub.

I bought this face wash on a whim because I'd had a great experience with their body lotion. I bought it the same day that I bought Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer. I have been using both products simultaneously for about two weeks and cannot stop telling people about them! (Check out my review of the moisturizer, linked above, for more info on it.)

Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub is a gentle exfoliator that I can use as often a...

The only facial moisturizer I will use from now on.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Most people know from my health and beauty reviews that I am constantly working out in the pool. Thus, my skin is constantly exposed to chlorine and as a result it can be red, irritated and cracking. My face is no exception, and it is especially hard to take care of dry skin on my face when I am also trying to clear up my acne!

I have always loved Aveeno's body lotions, so after a terrible experience with Clean & Clear's Dual Action Moisturizer I decided I would test out Aveeno Ultra Calming Daily Moisturizer. The bottle doesn't lie: this lotion IS ultra-calming!

The lotion does not have a distinct smell, which I love. It really just smells fresh with a hint of sunscreen (because...

Makes my skin soft and clean

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I try to mix up my face wash each time I run out of a bottle. Typically I alternate between Clean & Clear products, but I saw an ad for this in a magazine and found it on sale at CVS so I picked up a bottle.

I really like Biore Steam Activated Cleanser. I was a little nervous it'd tingle my skin too much because menthol is an ingredient, but instead it was like a cool burst of freshness. I really could feel my skin getting clean. The best part is that my skin felt soft after I'd toweled off. Most of the time my skin feels a little tight after washing my face.

I can't tell if my acne has completely cleared from using Biore Steam Activated Cleanser or not. I definitely notice my skin is ...

There's nothing the Breville can't whip up for me.

Overall

I was lucky enough to swipe the Breville BBL600XL blender from Matt when he brought in a collection of home goods he no longer wanted. I can't believe he parted with this blender, and I can't believe no one else in the office wanted it!

I absolutely love smoothies, milkshakes and margaritas. I've been in search of a new blender since last summer but wasn't willing to pay the price for a quality kitchen appliance, particularly because I use a blender for cold drinks (i.e. I use it three or four months out of the year because it's always cold in Chicago). Thanks to Matt, I didn't have to.

This is a 5-speed blender that mixes, chops, blends, liquefies and purees. It also has special...

30 Day Shred did not meet my fitness needs but might meet yours.

I was a competitive swimmer from age 8 until I graduated college in 2008. After the NCAA Championships my senior year I took some time off and dove back in to competitive Masters swimming in January 2009. I really love to swim, but I also like to lift weights, run and cycle. I've enjoyed adding some new exercises to my fitness routine.

A few months ago I decided it was time to get out the hand weights and start adding a bit of tone back in my muscles. I did not want to join a gym because I am on a Masters swim team and have my own road bike that I hook up to a computrainer; I just needed an at-home fix to my lack of weightlifting. I checked out a bunch of exercise video reviews here and opt...

I'd rather eat Chewy or Nature's Valley bars than a Soy Joy.

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I just tried a Soy Joy bar for the first time. I picked up the Raisin Almond flavor. Typically I am not a fan of soy-based products, but this bar surprised me.

It's not that this is my new favorite snack bar. It's not. But it did have some good flavor to it and wasn't as dry as it appeared when I first opened the packaging. It was moist and melted easily in my mouth.

Still, this *Soy Joy **bar didn't have its taste until after I'd swallowed it! I find it strange that a bar has an after taste flavor. Shouldn't I enjoy the taste *while I'm eating it?

I'll take a Chewy granola bar, Nature's Valley bar or Clif Bar over a Soy Joy any day, but if I were starving and needed a snack (and this w...

Puffs Plus Lotion makes colds bearable.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I suffer from horrible allergies and chronic sinusitis. I would say that I spend 7-8 months of the year partially congested in at least one nostril. It's hard for me to tell if I have a cold, allergies or a sinus infection anymore, so most of the time I just take my prescription and OTC meds, sit back and ride out the sick feeling.

We had a box of Puffs Plus Lotion stashed away in a cupboard at our office. I decided that if anyone needed it at their desk it was me. I've been using this box of tissues for the last three days and I have to say I am impressed! My raw, red nose is healed and I am not using tissues as frequently.

Puffs Plus Lotion is gentle on my nose and it's pretty thick....

Seems like a great alternative to other hand sanitizers!

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I found a free sample of Gold Bond Ultimate Hand Sanitizer Moisturizer in the March 2010 issue of Real Simple magazine and tested it out for an article on the Viewpoints blog. The sample was small but enough to cover both my hands. I was pleasantly surprised with how this lotion worked and smelled.

It was not harsh on my hands at all. In fact, it truly nourished them. I put this lotion on after a morning swim, so they were especially dry and cracking. My knuckles actually hurt a lot! This lotion soothed them, and it was an added bonus that I knew it was fighting germs at the same time. It did not smell like alcohol-based hand sanitizers easier, and it didn't sting the paper cut on my ...

LashExact mascara is inexpensive & looks nice.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I'd used Maybelline Full & Soft mascara for several years but when my most recent tube expired I decided it was time for a change. I decided to try CoverGirl LashExact mascara after reading all of the positive reviews on Viewpoints.

The product is exactly as advertised by CoverGirl and the reviewers here! I have had no problems with clumping or running mascara. Initially I was a little disappointed with the effect the mascara had on my lashes. CoverGirl LashExact mascara really does define and volumize your lashes. I was accustomed to a completely different look, so it took some getting use to, but now I prefer this mascara over Maybelline Full & Soft. My eyes are more noticea...

I am now a fan of boxed wine because of the Target Wine Cube.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Target Wine Cubes are just another reason why I love this retailer!

I would not call myself a wine snob. However, I do appreciate a good wine (particularly red). I want a wine that goes down easily and has a lot of flavor. Harsh wine is the worst! That is why I have never been a fan of boxed wine. It has never tasted right to me; it is always too chalky and rough. I just tried a Target Wine Cube over Thanksgiving dinner and it has forever changed my opinion of boxed wine!

Target Wine Cubes come in three sizes: (1) a 3-liter box equivalent to 4 bottles of wine, (2) a 1.5-liter box equivalent to 2 bottles of wine and (3) a 4-pack of small boxes equivalent to just over a glass of wine. Th...
