Air Out! Freshness In!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I received another shipment from Lock & LockĀ (www.locknlockplace.com) as part of their Supporter's Program. Each time I get a shipment, I get super excited to see what goodies are in the box. Honestly, it is just like Christmas morning! In the box this month I received one of Lock & Lock's newest products Lock & Lock Airless Container. This product prevents air from reaching your food and deters bacteria growth. So, your treats should stay fresh longer. The container is really genus. Once you have "locked" the container lid on, you press lightly on the center of the lid until your hear a beep. This removes air from inside the container. Then lift the air release valve on...

Great for commuters

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I received the Lock & Lock Green Laurel Double Wall Tea Bottle the other day from the company. Immediately my daughter decided to claim it and took it off to college with her. The Lock & Lock Tea Bottle is ingenious. First off it comes completely apart for cleaning, but the coolest feature is the screw on compartment on the bottom that allows you to carry extra tea bags or loose tea for real tea connoisseurs. To use the Tea Bottle, you place a tea bag or loose tea in the cup, cover with the stainless steel strainer, add hot water and voila you have tea to go. I really like the idea of using loose tea. That opens up so many possibilities aside from the boring everyday tea bags. Just think abo...

Cooler than plastic, foam or paper cups.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I recently started to use a Lock & Lock Eco Mug for my morning "joe" while traveling to meetings. First off, the mug is just cool! Clearly printed on the side of the mug are the words: "I'm not a paper cup." You should see the looks and then the inevitable questions that follow...What is it made out of? Where did you get it? and Where can I find one? Well, the answers are easy. It comes from Lock & Lock, one of the premiere manufacturers of quality storage products for the home. In an expansion of their product line, Lock & Lock is making dinnerware, knives, and mugs from ceramic. But wait, this is not your mother's ceramic material. Lock & Lock uses a high quality, durable and eco-friendly ...

Easy to clean and pretty too!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I am a fan of Lock & Lock products. I recently received three Zen&Lock ceramic containers from the company. My pattern, Esly, is one. The pattern is a beautiful blend of blue hydrangeas and butterflies. I used the Zen&Lock Esly, Rectangular Ceramic Container this morning for a gluten free Quiche Lorraine. I was only cooking for my husband and myself so this particular piece of cookware was perfect for me. If we had any leftovers (must admit the quiche came out perfect and my husband finished off the last piece) I could have easily stored in the refrigerator for a late night snack using the perfectly designed four snap lid that comes with the product. The majority of Lock & Lock's products a...

Revolutionary non-stick ceramic frying pan

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I have become a major fan of Lock & Lock products. The company, which was established in 1978, has grown into a global company that exports its products to more than 100 countries worldwide. Originally known for its storage containers, the company has expanded recently to cookware. I received a 10.2" frying pan from the company the other day to test out. I am a gourmet cook who is always looking for cookware that can withstand daily service and maintain its non-stick capabilities. I think I may have found my newest favorite. The aluminum frying pan is coated with an eco-friendly ceramic coating that is truly non-stick. The pan is fairly weighty for an aluminum pan so you don't have to worry ...

Truly a revolutionary non-stick cookware

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I received a set of Lock & Lock Cookplus Ceramic cookware recently. I have a 7 cup sauce pan and an 10" frying pan. I have used the sauce pan several times already and continue to be amazed with the non-stick coating. Lock & Lock uses an eco-friendly ceramic coating for its line of cookware. The other day I made cheese grits and today I used it for a brown rice pilaf. The pot cleans like nothing has been cooked in it. Typically, the grits and the rice tend to stick to my pots, however this pot is unbelievable. Nothing sticks to it! I use a wooden spoon or one of those plastic spatulas that can withstand high heat so I don't scratch the pot. To clean it, I just put it under the faucet and eve...

Great for both oven and microwave!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I recently received two Lock & Lock's Boroseal, Borosilicate Glass Pans. The cookware is oven and microwave safe with built on silicone handles. The pan holds 4.6 cups. Tonight for dinner, I made stuffed peppers and decided to make a cucumber salad to go with it. I used my Lock & Lock Pan to prepare the dish (see attached photo) and served it at the table right in the same pan. Even though my dish was cold, the silicone handles were extremely easy to grip. The dish also looks good enough to place on the table without transferring it to another dish. For me that's great, less washing up! I would recommend anyone interested in new glass pans to check out the Lock & Lock. They are available on...

Omaha steaks not worth the price.

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

For some reason, my family believes Omaha Steak packages are great Christmas presents, however for me they are a waste of money. I have received several gift packages over the years and last year as well. I don't want to appear snobby, but for the money I can get really good steaks at our local marketplace. I certainly appreciate the thought the behind the gift, but for me the product is not worth the money.

First off, the quality of the beef is not what I would consider to be premium. The steaks are all the same weight, but the sizes are inconsistent. So if you want a medium rare steak and are serving several people you really need to check each individually to make sure they do not get ov...

Great moisturizer

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I received my free sample of the Jergens Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer. Right away I liked the rich and creamy lotion. I have very dry skin and I used it on my heels, feet and legs. The lotion was absorbed into my skin perfectly. I have noticed a definite improvement on my heels. Anyone who has dry skin will appreciate the moisture the lotion provides to your body.

Jergens Overnight Repair Nightly Restoring Moisturizer is similar to products I have used that contain Shea butter. It is not greasy. It is light and easy to use. The fragrance could use some work though. It is a little heavy and smells a little like soap. I prefer a fragrance that is a little more exot...

Absolutely love it!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I purchased my Apple IPad a few weeks ago. First off I am a true Mac fanatic. I started using Apple products more than 20 years ago and have never looked back. I am always amazed how intuitive Macs are compared to their PC counterparts.

The IPod is another example of a great Apple product. First off it is elegant, light weight and easy to use. I don't travel much so I did not need a data card. My house and most of the places I visit are WiFi enabled so for me the Apple IPad WiFi was perfect.

I use the IPod on a daily basis for everything from checking email, updating my contacts, keeping my calendar up to date, surfing the internet and reading books. I also play games with it but I h...

Great way to save for college.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I started using the Upromise program before I knew they were associated with their own credit card. It was after several months of earning credits for savings that I was offered a branded Upromise credit card when they were still with Citibank. Over the last few years they switched to Master Card from Bank of America. I use the Upromise credit card for items that will award me extra credit like 3X point for restaurants, the McDonald's Arch Card and some on-line purchases through the Upromise site. There are countless merchant who participate in the program. Some of my favorites are target.com, staples.com and overstock.com. Others like gap.com offer the opportunity to save 5% for college. Zanfel works, but it is not worth the money.

Overall
Rated 2 out of 5

I am highly sensitive to poison ivy and coincidentally to many of the plants that weep secretions including pines and evergreens. In fact my allergist told me I was also allergic to it which explains my severe reactions to the poison. Recently, I suffered another bout with the symptoms of poison ivy. I tracked the source to a pair of flats I was wearing several weeks ago when I had my initial contact with poison ivy. I figured it came in on the fur of one of my dogs, since I avoid it like the plague. Now to anyone who has been in the same situation I know for a fact that you look for something to relieve the symptoms FAST. Anything to make the itch and swelling and nasty sores go away.

Black & Decker's DustBuster is great for small jobs.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I have used a variety of cordless and corded small vacuums over the years including Dirt Devil, other Black & Decker Dustbusters, and a corded Oreck model that I threw away after it starting over heating. The Black & Decker Cyclonic-Action Cordless Dustbuster Vacuum is my most recent purchase. It is great for small jobs around the home. As a pet owner (three small terriers and two parakeets) I keep the Dustbuster pretty busy most days. I use it almost daily to pick up the seeds the birds throw out of their cage and when it is molting time and the feathers start to fly, the Dustbuster gets used several times a day. Also, now that the season is turning to autumn, I use it to pick up all t...

Good design, works well.

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

We purchased a Moen bathroom faucet for my son's room. He is handicapped and needs assistance with his daily living. I wanted a clean, fresh design and my husband thought it was important to have a faucet with levers. We ended up choosing a "Banbury" 4" centerset design that conserves water, has a classic brushed nickel finish and a low-arc spout design that gives us ease in hand washing or filling medical containers and a two handle lever design. Since his bathroom is handicapped accessible we chose the set because it is ADA compliant.

We are very happy with our choice. The unit is easy to keep clean and looks timeless. It fits our needs and those of our son and his caregivers.

Not able to download it on my Mac!

Overall
Rated 1 out of 5

Unfortunately the Norton Internet Security 2010 was not able to download on my Mac. I kept getting error messages. I am not sure if I was doing something wrong or if the download I was directed to was not the right one for my operating system (OS 10.6.2). I love the idea of having security for my computer and information being protected while on line, but I am not sure I would purchase this product as it stands.
