This book was not worth the time I poured into reading it. It is very slow for the first 1/2 of the book. Intermingled in Catholic bashing and political grandstanding that add nothing to the plot. The story itself is kind of interesting, if slowly told. The characters are not endearing in any way, just there. The only element of this book to hold your attention is the subplot of unraveling what really happened 33 years in the past.

    >>Hey there, how do you know pebcak? Did you meet him at the party?

I don't really know him - I may have met him at the party.

What happened is that my Brazilian neighbor was having one of his meat and beer parties the following day and some of his friends told me about a Brazilian steakhouse in Villa park that was better and less expensive than the chaims.

I was too tipsy to remember the name, though.

Then, I stumbled across his review of Fusion Fire and I had my restaurant.
