Purchased from ikea 3 years ago to furnish my room and bought matching dress as well. The bed is quite heavy and sturdy dont stub a tow aor anything. It may be particle board but is very solid. Was quite easy to put together and even after i recently moved and took it a part re assembled it quite easy. This finish is great and goes well with my matching dresser. I was worried about the wood slats that hold the queen up properly but have not moved or slipped ever and thoughly being put to the test.
