So vacation is over, has been for a week, but I still feel like it was just yesterday :)  Reviews and photos will come eventually!  I usually don't feel like writing them right after I get back and then I get motivated down the line to do it!

In the meantime, I'm already thinking up my next vacation spot!  I want to go someplace local, it won't be til next year May or June but I'm a planner so I'm already researching :)  Any suggestions within a 4-5 hour drive from Detroit, MI?  Feel free to share :)

So I have a Visine for Contacts review posted at another site.  It's been there for years and today I got my first comment "How much did you get paid to write this review for Visine?"  The comment went on to say his doctor said not to use visine and that I should use something else that is specifically for contacts.

First of all, it hit me that some people actually think that reviews on the internet are fake and if you write a positive review, you must have been compensated.  Ok so I get paid per hit at that site, but Visine is not compensating me and I would get paid per hit even if I wrote a negative review.  

Second of all, it hit me that some people don't read.  My review was for "Visine for Contacts" which is made specifically for contacts.  My eye doctor has no problem with it and suggested it.  Of course my eye doctor doesn't think I should use regular Visine, but this review was clearly for Visine for Contacts.  

The final thing that hit me is that it's crazy how some people are so passionate about random products that they believe you MUST be a liar or a fake in order to have a different opinion then they do.

So in the end I responded nicely that I did not get paid by visine to write this, that my doctor did recommend it, and that if they paid attention they would see the review was on Visine for Contacts, not regular visine.

I don't get why some people take reviews so seriously.  It's my opinion.... if you disagree, you disagree.  No biggie, or at least it shouldn't be.  Maybe it's because I'm a reviewer and have been for awhile, but sometimes I'm amazed by the attitude I get from readers who disagree.  Ah well, I'm leaving for vacation this weekend and taking along my visine for contacts :)

Last night I went through and friended everyone who was a fan of me.  I didn't realize so many people that I talk to all the time weren't on my friends list!  I try to read reviews of my friends whenever I have time. To those of you who friended me, Thank you for being a friend :)

It's wedding week!  I'll be busy helping my friend with her wedding for the next three days... It's gonna be a long week but I'm excited!!!

Wow it's been a month since I've blogged!  I've been here and there - mostly there :-D  My husband and I have this goal about cleaning the house and getting rid of any and all excess junk this summer.  We aren't really pack rats, but I don't want to turn into one! 

Yesterday I found a ton of diskettes... yes those little 3.5" things.  Well, we don't have a disk reader anymore, neither does anyone I know, so I figured if I haven't looked at them in over 4 years - I probably don't need them anymore!  That was easy to trash :)  The hard thing to trash is some stuff I made in crafts in High School.  I have a basket that took me forever, somehow made with yarn and I have no clue how I made it but I do remember getting an A!  Stuff like that is hard to part with so I've been trying to find uses for it :)

I will try to get on VP to review some things but it feels like I haven't gotten anything new and exciting lately!  Don't worry, I'll find something to review :)  Thanks for sticking around!!
