We went Sept 27 weekend for my Birthday. There wasn't alot of shops still open @ that time. But if you are just going to enjoy the beach that can be the best time for you. We stayed @ the Econo Logde wasn't a 3 star but for what we paid it was nice. The beaches didn't have a lot of people. Fair number of people but not over crowded like in the summer months.We just enjoy walking down the beach...did see people in the water though.
