I have owned all types of matresses, standard, feather bed toppers, egg crate toppers, pillowtops and have never been able to find a truly comfortable bed that allowed me to sleep really well.  My latest effort is the Tempurpedic memory foam.  It is an OK mattress but if you are a light wieght, and I'm talking 140 pounds or less, you do not have the body weight to make the foam conform to your body shape to make truly comfortable.  I have read complaints that it is hot to sleep on but I have not experienced that at all.  For me the mattress is hard.  For my 195 pound husband it's just great. ...
