cooking with a crock pot is quick and simple and especially nice if you have one with time selections that all go to warm when complete.  You aren't tied to being home when the cooking is done.  Its warm and ready whenever you get there.   Stainless steel is attractive and not such a kitchen look if you want to serve a party.
