I bought a 2006 Malibu Maxx last month and it is fab-u-lous!  I have had great experiences with Malibus in the past, having leased one new in 2000 and again in 2003.  In 2006, I was given a car and this was the only reason I did not stay with the Chevy Malibu.  Now, I have traded that car in to go back to the Malibu.  Chevrolet no longer makes the Malibu Maxx which is a sporty hatchback version of the Malibu, a little longer, but not so long as to look like a station wagon.  Apparently, the style was not as popular as the standard Malibu.  The model I purchased was under $14,000 with 40K...
