I'm sorry you've been getting frustrated with maneuvering the discussion boards. Here are a few Discussion board hints/tips for you:

When you are looking at the list of Discussion topics, if you click on the name of the topic, it takes you to the beginning of the discussion. If you click on the poster's name, it takes you to the very last post. If you click on the yellow balloon next to the title, it takes you to the last message you read.

The ones that state they are "games" are more fun discussions where people are contributing tidbits of information answers to questions (i.e. movie titles). Others are interesting discussion topics (i.e. prices of gas, Christmas ideas).

Hopefully that clears some stuff up, let me know if you have any questions or your can e-mail Meredith and Jolie for more help too.

"Our" boards tend to be the busiest late at night (10 pm and up until the wee hours of the morning). I would recommend you visit the boards during the afternoon when there might not be as much activity so that you can play around with them without the rapid succession of new threads being posted. However, if you do this there may be a lull in anyone responding to your most recent post.

Regarding online chat: No, Viewpoints doesn't have that yet. We just basically "chat" on the boards and via comments on reviews and profile pages. We don't know when someone else is on Viewpoints. I just pay attention to how quick the threads and comments are being posted and "assume" someone may still be online.

If you still have technical issues you can email Meredith at Meredith@viewpoints.com She is really good at responding in a timely manner and she will even send you printable versions of any instructions you might need, IF they are available.

Okay, I saw you on the boards last night and it seemed you were a bit frustrated with maneuvering the site; especially the boards so I'm going to try to send you a few pointers.

First of all, sometimes we are so busy on the boards that everything moves at a fast pace. You might be trying to think up a comment for the next post and realize that once you post someone else posted just as you did and their answer might take the precedence of yours.

I "think" the easiest way for a new user to get familiar with Viewpoints discussion boards is the following. While on your profile page--click the "my home" tab. Scroll down to Discussions you have posted to. There will be a list of all discussions that you have posted to that were read after you last posted. IF you click on the title of the topic (in blue) it is going to take you to the first page of the discussion board and I "believe" that is where you were getting confused. You were answering the last question on page 1 and we may have been playing/posting on page 14. My suggestion is to click on the words "latest post" below the board title. That will take you to the last comment on that specific board.

Many of us toggle back and forth b/w boards so you may see a run of boards with the same member's name. For instance, right now my name is the last "poster" on about 10 boards because I just went to them all and posted a response.
