I bought a hotsling after having my 3rd child.  She desperately wanted to be held all the time, but that became very challenging with 2 other little ones.  Once I bought the sling, my daughter was so comfy and cozy--it probably felt like being in the womb again since she was so snug by my belly. 

For me, it allowed me to have both hands free to play with my other children, prepare dinner, eat meals, etc.

 Now that my youngest is just about a year, I can use the sling as support instead of using my arm muscles to carry her on my hip.  We just recently went to a children's museum where no strollers...
