This is one of the best HDTV pictures I have seen in or out of a store and for the price, you can't beat it. The volume is great, many tv's have to be turned up to the max for decent volume, not this one. You will be pleased with or without adding home theatre. I liked my first one so much, I bought another one a few months later. I'm actually considering a 3rd one for my bedroom. The only thing that would make it better would be a built-in DVD player...
