If thr coffee maker you bought is not working it has the one year warranty from the vender as well as the 30-90 day warranty from the retailer itself. Did you try to return the product. If the product was leaking out of the brew basket then the basket from the unit is defective so the basket would need replaced. I know we had some problems with a unit and when I called they were more than happy to replace the unit I just had to mail them a proof of purchase that showed less than a year.
