It is awful, it loses suction after 1 year!

My husband bought me the Dyson 3 years ago for my birthday. I was pregnant and due in 1 month and he wanted to get me something that would make cleaner easier and better for our family. My 3 1/2 year old was just diagnosed with asthma and he thought this would help with the dust and dirt in the house. At first it worked wonderful! I loved it, had to clean out the filter more then I cared to do but it worked wonderful. Then 1 year later, the day before my daughters birthday party. It stopped sucking.
