I stumbled upon Trucker's Secret metal polish, and I was, at first, a little apprehensive.  The sales associate told me it works great on her jewelry and silver.  She told me, "wipe on, wipe off, no scrubbing."  I was given a 2 oz sample to try, and wow. 

I inherited my grandmother's silver collection that was incredibly tarnished.  I had tried traditional silver polishes but ended up with sore wrists and half-polished items.  I took a clean cloth, dabbed some Trucker's Secret on it, wiped it on, and wiped it off with a clean cloth.
