I bought the Graco Safe Seat 1 in Portica because I liked the idea of having my son in his infant seat a bit longer. I was so excited to use it, However when it got time to take my son home from the hospital, I hit a problem. My 6lb. 6.7 oz. son wouldn't fit in it. He was too small. They say the weight minimum is 5 lbs. but due to the ENORMOUS buckle, chest clip and extremely long crotch strap I couldn't get the harness near tight enough to protect him without choking him.
