American Airlines

Great frequent flier program

I am a college student that doesn't have much money to fly places. However, I live about 800 miles away from my school. American is ALWAYS the cheapest airline when flying between major hubs (Chicago, Dallas, Newark/NY Airports). When I compare the prices with other airlines, they are consistently cheaper (usually by about $50). Their planes aren't anything special. I typically fly on their MD-80 plane, they most used plane in their fleet. It's small but fine for the length of flight I take.
