The Bounce Dryer bar seems to do the trick.  Depending upon what you wash, it can get yucky.My bar became filled with dark lint. Also, it can be a hassle for to remove when you do not want to use fabric softener.  Overall, however, it works well, smells nice, and softens my clothes.
