The Handi-Vac is perfect for my small kitchen and powerful enough to seal bags well for freezing. It runs on AA batteries, but the batteries last a long time, I've had this for about 5 months and have not had to replace the batteries yet.  I love that it fits right in the drawer with my silverware and measuring spoons and that there's no need to drag out a large sealer, cut the bags to size, etc.

I've found this works best when freezing items for less than 6 weeks though, the bags do seems to lose their seal after that amount of time.
