Mazda3 - 2007

They aren't kidding about zoom-zoom!

When my car was stolen in 2007, I didn't have much time to find a replacement. Immersion in on-line research for well-reviewed, new cars under $20K pretty much narrowed it down to two options: a Hyundai Sonata and the Mazda 3.

(Yes I know I could have bought used and saved the depreciation, but I normally keep cars forever so I like starting at zero miles.)

A quick test drive made the decision a no-brainer. This car has zip and is a total hoot to drive. (And I admit, the ipod jack and satellite radio closed the deal since I have a 40-minute commute each way.) It comes loaded with... read full review »
