OK so I'm not always hip to the latest in electronics and things of that nature, but I couldn't help but notice all of the static and noises coming from my old cordless phone anytime I ventured farther than six feet away from its base. That's when I started looking for a replacement and found out that the new 6.0 cordless phones are on a different frequency than the old 5.8 models which share the same frequencies as microwave ovens and other assorted electronics and are the culprits of all the annoying static you sometimes hear when using the 5.8 models.
